Commecial Manager
Ideally from an industrial product background (manufacturing) as opposed to services with a good understanding of corporate business with major clients You must be able to manage a diverse team to ensure all departmental deliverables are met on time and to a high standard. • Liaise with other Managers across the business to raise standards and produce the best possible commercial documentation and performance standards. • Establish and implement improved working practices. Competent management of all personnel. Review, implement and develop training needs. • Monitor and manage personnel performance. Allocate and manage resources. • Address absenteeism and disciplinary issues. • Recruitment. • Conduct personnel appraisals. • Develop a general understanding of industrial supplies; improve product knowledge on a regular basis. • Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins and volumes. • Apply basic revenue and pricing models and make decisions accordingly. • Negotiate to win business whilst maintaining profitability.• Review, monitor and manage the tender process.Previously worked in a medium sized organisation.
